Ive been trying to write a status about Michelle Aravena for about three months...We met & worked together 9 years ago. Instantly I was blown away by her incredible talent. Now, if you know me, I dont throw these words around. ESPECIALLY about women. Our paths nearly crossed time and time again until they finally did once more. I remember when she texted me telling me shed be joining me in ROCKY on Broadway. An audible sigh of relief & excitement rang through my entire body. I was so positive of the beauty of this match. Over the past 7 months, Michelle has been my shoulder, my sounding board, my punching bag, my confidant, my Dear Abby. My rock. She sees me naked everyday in very sense of the word. She has been the most important part of this professional journey for me. Today (and tonight) I got to see and hear her TRUE STAR shine. The pride. The emotion. The love I felt for her today was and is completely...overwhelming. It was as if she was my daughter, my sister, my childhood friend. The reality is: we worked together for 2 months almost 10 years ago and another 6 this year. This business creates bonds like no other. She knows more about me than many members of my own family. I am so grateful for you, Michelle. A) you BEYOND freaking nailed it. B) thank you. For everyday. C) we are exactly where we should be. For whatever reason. BRAVO, lady. Tonight, everyone got to see the genius Ive always known you to be.
