Ive come to believe it is all futility. There are families out there whose fortunes make that of the Walton family look like so many quarters in a piggy bank. They own the Federal Reserve, IMF and every other large bank and corporation on the planet. When they want something done, they move governments and corporations like pieces on a chessboard. The common man is like a speck of dust on that board, hes not even in the game. He is told what to think and dismissed. If God forbid, he ever becomes large enough to hinder the game, the pieces are carefully removed, he is wiped from the board, the pieces are put back into their appropriate places, and the game continues. Democrats, Republicans, it doesnt really matter. Wars just make the game more interesting to these guys. We pay more attention to the daily struggles of an ant, than they pay to any of us. God helps us all.
