Ive decided I want to go vintage mid century modern in the paint - TopicsExpress

Ive decided I want to go vintage mid century modern in the paint color I choose for my kitchen which has white formica cupboards, white ceiling and white trim. I want to go with a *TRUE* MID CENTURY AQUA and I know you guys are the experts with paint and mid century everything. I have tried to use the STARBURST Franciscan saucer to match the aqua but like others have said in the past its a very hard color to match. Anyway, Ive got some colors that I have in the line up but wondered if you all knew of any MID CENTURY MODERN AQUA colors that are AVAILABLE NOW (not from the past) that are as close as I can get to vintage aqua kitchen color thats not to dark or to light but in the middle of the aqua color spectrum? Can you all give me a paint brand and color name of an aqua you have used for a mid century kitchen? Thanks in advance. The closest I can come are the following: Bermuda Bay by Glidden paints. Gentle Wave by Valspar paints. Glistening Teal by Glidden paints. Sea Breeze by Eddie Bauer of Valspar paints-slightly to dark. DONT WANT IT TO PALE or TO DEEP. Right in the middle. Im hoping to pick up the aqua in the CIRCLES in this blue painting which I have in the kitchen contrasting the darker blue to make it POP. The big square shown with the painting is Bermuda Bay. I just think they need to be REALLY CLEAR and BOLD and PURE in color and not muted an aqua as I love FRESH looks but still want to be fairly vintage sticking in the middle hues of the shade. What do you think? PS the last picture has some great shades but I dont know what BRAND OF PAINTS that is. Its not around here anyway…..
