Ive finally had to accept the fact that I might be aging slightly. The old man I see in the mirror has been trying to fool me for years, but I knew better. When my pet dinosaur died it made me reconsider that I might be slipping into middle age. Im not so old that I dont remember walking to school barefoot uphill both ways or when Henry Ford streamlined car production. However I must confess I detest change and reluctantly recognize that some technology has slightly improved over time. I still have a collection of VHS and Beta tapes, and I know that my 8 tracks and cassettes will come back some day. My Schwinn Lemon Peeler bicycle is now worth ten times what I paid in 1970, and no American car made today could ever replace my Duster. I guess Toby Keith was right, Im not as good as I once was, but Im as good once as I ever was!
