Ive got a bad feeling were trapped in our narrative and that the cost of embracing a new narrative is more than many can, or at least are willing to, bear. Perhaps we need a reintroduction to The Lord. Perhaps we need less church history and more living vibrantly in His Story. Perhaps we need to speak a fairy tale like Truth into the vast and nightmarish story of ecclesiastical bondage and negative interpersonal responses that is running like a cinematic loop through our group speak. I dont know. Maybe the story told by our predecessors was perfect. Maybe any variation from the dogma of our progenitors is tantamount to heresy and should be punished with righteous and wrathful indignation. I dont know. But I do know this,A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. (John 13:34, 35 KJV) Any tradition or brotherhood preservation or new freedom that violates that is not the story of Jesus... Not the story of The Christ...
