Ive had a few things crop up and thus the shots I planned to share this weekend are not ready. Therefore, Ill share this for you all... I have had a few people ask about the detail in the photos and I often (until I got sick of doing so) used to talk about how Facebook ruins/trashes/pixelates/generally screws up the quality of my photos. Truth is, it does but it cant be helped...its called compression and essentially means details are lost from the shot, in lieu of smaller files. So, how to show you some of the details I see from the original photos? Well, make a detailed video and flyover my photo. What better photo to use than a shot taken two miles from the subject :-) ! Yep, not a close up but with a nice zoom lens, one can get close...so, here is Edinburgh Castle. Here since the Bronze Age, sat on volcanic rock 350+ million years old and ever growing over the years (most of the present buildings are a few hundred years old, except St Margarets Chapel which is the oldest building in Edinburgh, dating back to the twelfth century)...here it is, up close and personal with the bagpipes provided by Edinburgh Pipers (facebook/edinburghpipers).
