Ive had a massive amount of respect for Alan Bissett since meeting and chatting with him over a beer in the 13th Note around 6 months ago...he is an inspiring character and fought hard for us all with his tours of the country performing plays, poems and presentations to spread the word...this is from December 2013...he talks about the bleak future we would face if a NO vote was successful...listen to this...its only 3 minutes long, and without so much as a WEEK passing since 55% chose to vote NO...many of these unfortunate predictions have already come true. However...the important thing to take from this is that their strong-arm tactics, following the 55% s choice to keep Westminster as our overlords, will only INCREASE if we separate and condemn a Scottish government for having to deal with the troubles they are about to put us in, we MUST stick together...we MUST see the bigger picture. With a YES vote we would have been able to keep the entirety of our wealth and spread it over a much smaller population, removing nuclear weaponry from our shores to boot, also saving us monumental sums of money, whilst also removing a ticking time bomb 30 miles from our most populated city...however, our majority said NO...and when they realise their mistake, and they will, it will not be about told you sos or them and us, It MUST be about community. We had our chance, but easy route is long gone. Tough times are ahead...but by rallying to the cause, and supporting the Scottish National Party (SNP) as our majority Scottish candidate, we have a chance of surviving this and winning independence by 2016 or 2020...failure to do this, in-fighting and the condemning of our national party for the now necessary cuts and inflations about to be imposed upon them, and us, will play into Westminsters hands further and ensure we are on course for a great depression of many decades to come. This party FROZE the council tax, introduced FREE bus travel for pensioners, ensured our people had access to FREE prescriptions and SCRAPPED tuition fees, we have all enjoyed many things we took for granted, many things we could have safeguarded and built upon with independence, but in these hard times ahead, we must not lose sight of who is the enemy. snp.org/join
