Ive had so many people ask me about Heartland since the Rural/Metro news broke. Ive heard people talk of rumors that we are next. Ive heard people say they think all private services will face the same fate. Let me share my piece on our incredible organization. I started from almost day 1 with the company. We have worked diligently everyday to be the best at what we do and we have succeeded. We put our all into the communities we serve and the people we care for. We had 4 ambulances and a few wheel chair vans back then. I was an EMT on a truck. Since then Ive put my all into my job and have worked my way into my current position. We have the most amazing team of people at Heartland all the way from our CEO across the line to the crews on our trucks everyday. No one person is more important than another. We are all very important pieces of a very well oiled machine. Our medical director is amazing and provides us the tools we need to provide the HIGHEST level of patient care possible. I may be biased, but we are the best in our industry and we prove it everyday. As of today Im proud to say we run 40 ambulances and soon to be 25 wheel chair vans. We provide service to 34 counties in central Indiana and we never miss a beat. We WILL be there to answer the call when you need us. That is my piece :) Thanks
