LOOKING FOR: EXHIBITIONS COORDINATOR (Ateneo Art Gallery) Job Responsibilities: Ø Monitors the AAG Exhibition and Programs Calendar Ø Prepares letters to artists participating in the exhibition, collectors (private and institutions) lending works for the exhibition Ø Coordinates between artists, collectors, curators and the museum Ø Handles the processing of loans including shipping arrangements and customs processing Ø Schedules and facilitates pick-ups and delivery of artworks to and from the gallery, artist, collector’s homes or other agreed upon location Ø Arranges for insurance of the artworks Ø Facilitates identifying, marking and cataloguing of artworks, and completion of Condition Report and Artwork Receiving Report forms for each exhibitions correctly Ø Ensures that each artwork in the exhibition has been photographed by gallery personnel for documentation purposes professionally for catalog publication and press purposes Ø Prepares exhibition checklist and post exhibition reports (exhibition report and exhibition development report) Ø Schedules and requests assistance from Facilities Management Office for preparation of the gallery for the exhibit Ø Suggests new methods and techniques of preparing and presenting exhibitions Ø Prepares a schematic diagram of the exhibit floor plan/ layout (sketch-up) Ø Coordinates with the artist/ curator, graphic designer, AAG Management and printers regarding the content, layout and production of all printed collaterals and publication pertaining to the exhibition Ø Prepares press kit for each exhibition which includes the text, images and image captions and proper credits. This will be modified and used accordingly for press contacts, e-blast, website and social media. Ø Suggests and conceptualizes collateral activities (ArtSpeak, workshops, etc.) for each exhibition. Ø Assists in exhibition tours and answers queries from the guests Ø Trains and coordinates with the interns for tasks related to ongoing exhibition Ø Provides assistance in the logistics preparations for Ateneo Art Awards (Fernando Zobel Prizes for Visual Arts and Purita Kalaw-Ledesma for Art Critism) Qualifications: 1. Graduate of any 4-year course 2. Must have experience in art handling, basic conservation and installation of exhibits 3. Basic knowledge of art terms and Philippine art history will be an advantage 4. Can write quality press releases 5. Proficient in MS Office applications 4. Has excellent interpersonal, organizational, time-management and communication skills Interested employees must write a letter of intent addressed to their supervisor / unit head and submit to the Office of Human Resource Management and Organization Development c/o Tin L.
