Ive had text messages, PMs on here and Ive seen several statuss. Just to confirm, today we lost. Think the final score was 38-15. Score genuinely didnt reflect how well we played. At times we were better than last weeks comfortable win, but Spartans 2s were a well drilled team with fitness, luck and mistakes on our behalf ultimately telling in the last quarter. A great team effort though, and our discipline was excellent compared to last week. Scorers today were Andrew Andy Richardson x2 and Richard Weaver. Highlight of the match for me was a fantastic forward effort with great hands, great support and brute power to score in the corner. The Buddha quite rightly went to the skipper James Quigley, for firstly not falling on his sword last week after he couldnt stay and secondly as it was his birthday yesterday. Top job boys. We knew it would be a tough test today, so its hopefully prepared us well for our first league game against Burton at home next Saturday. Lets have lots of positive replies later in the week when details posted and make sure we have plenty of numbers. Gav
