Ive just heard from some Swedes visiting the US and needed emergency healthcare after an accident... The healthcare was amazing, why isnt it like this at home in Sweden? First having fallen and injured your head doesnt mean that youre eligible for a CT scan unless youve lost consciousness for > 5 min, use anticoagulant therapy and happen to be at least somnolent at the time of examination. Secondly in sweden you may have to wait > 8 hours for having your wounds attended which means primary closure is out of the question and if you want the scar in your face dealt with you have to seek a plastic surgeon later at your own expense. This isnt the direct fault of the the healthcare personell, theyre just too few. However theyre indirectly responsible since our system is the same as that of the 3rd reich, the doctor isnt only your doctor he is also the damage controller of the the government health insurance at the same time. In america such a set up would be called a street-surance and had the Swedish healthcare operated on the american market it would have been devoured by the suit savvy law firms long time ago.
