Ive learned something today. People dont ever change. Ever. Giving anyone any trust toward the idea that they will be honest with you when they havent in the past is a fools errand. Giving anyone trust when they havent proven themselves worthy of it is just as foolish. So who can we trust? Can we trust ourselves? Can we trust anybody? I trust in two things anymore. I trust those whove proven their loyalty. And I trust that all others will never be worthy of my trust without that proof. My trust used to be offered freely in that I only asked that respect be returned. This was a mistake. My trust is now a commodity, and its in an extremely low supply. Thats how I plan to keep it.
