Ive met and worked out with some of the biggest names in sports - TopicsExpress

Ive met and worked out with some of the biggest names in sports and Hollywood. Ive talked cardio with David Beckham, made biceps jokes with Wahlberg, caught passes from Drew Brees, hit the mats with GSP, tried to post up Shaq, and even talked about what its like to have a billion dollars with Mark Cuban. Heck, Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote the foreword to my last book. But yesterday, I had a meeting that trumped them all. For the first time, I met Lindy. Youre probably thinking, who? For those of you who dont remember, I wrote about Lindy about 1.5 years ago after she was paralyzed in a ski accident. Her husband, Chad, reached out to me after it happened as I had been working with both Chad and Lindy as online clients. That email, and that day, changed everything for me. Since the accident, Ive stayed in close contact with Chad and Lindy. As I tell Chad all the time, theyve become my family. They send me updates and videos of Lindys rehab, pictures of their little boy Beren, and I try to surprise them with what motivation and inspiration I can. But in reality, its Lindy who inspires me. Every day she fights for the life she wants. She pushes herself in ways many people may never understand, but she doesnt want pity or sadness. She is still Lindy: a wife, a mother, a friend, and someone who is envisioning the life that she wants, and working towards making it her reality. She believes that the injury will not define her. That her story wont end with her accident. And if you see her now--with all the amazing improvements shes made--its impossible to deny that reality. I met Lindy with more excitement than I can possibly explain. And after spending the day with her, I felt like MY life has been changed. Lindy is a force. A positive beacon of light. Smiling. Happy. Determined. She isnt famous. Shes not in the magazines. But I wouldnt be surprised if I never meet anyone who is a bigger rock star. I said it after the accident, and I believe it more now than ever: #IBelieveinLindy. And if she has taught me anything, its that you should believe in yourself too. No matter what the circumstances. We all possess the ability to #BeTheChange, be something special, and change the world and others around us. If youre not familiar with her story, this is what I wrote after it first happened. bornfitness/do-you-believe-in-lindy/
