Ive never commented on my Dogs of New York using my personal Facebook page, but I made an exception just now. Because Im sick of this bullshit and coded language. The lack of affordable and available pet-friendly housing -- especially the kind that doesnt discriminate against certain dogs -- has always been an issue Ive been aware of, but shit just got real now that Im facing it in my own life, on my own. If youre going to label everyone whose situations change and find themselves facing tough situations irresponsible pet owners, then lets not call the shit poop anymore -- youre now talking about me. And you need to own it. Im sick of this bullshit. Not because it upsets me personally (Facebook fueds = silly), but because its a distraction from the REAL issues that affect MANY pet owners out there. Enough!!! If you want to get mad, get mad at the source of the problem -- dont get mad at people who are trying their best, against a system that has relied on crappy psuedoscience and propoganda to make sweeping generalizations about certain dogs and their owners. Were on the same team here. Start acting like it, or leave the field.
