Ive never gotten involved with partisan politics, but after watching the legislative process up close for the past few years, Im supporting Emily Cain for Congress in Maines Second District, for these reasons: Experience - 10 years of problem-solving in the Maine Legislature Moderation - working with Republicans and Governor Lepage to get things done; with Congress in gridlock, we do not need any more ideologues putting party before pragmatism Integrity - putting the public interest before self-interest (et tu, Bruce?) Love - no one devotes such long hours to addressing the difficult budget and policy issues of this state without having a real love for Maine and its people Youth - we need a new generation of leaders in Congress with the vision and stamina to work cooperatively on making our federal government work That spells EMILY, and I encourage my ME-2 friends to vote for Emily Cain
