Ive never understood the Contemporary Christian music industry. Why is it not enough to do an uplifting song about God, or Jesus, or faith? For example, half of Princes catalog is about God, but is deemed unacceptable by them? There are artists like George Harrison & the Doobie Brothers who have done very spiritual music as well, but, yeah again a no-go. You could argue that its because of other songs by the artist or the lifestyle they lead. To me, it seems like a Christian message would be much more powerful coming from a secular artist. Meh, what do I know. Whatever the case, It all just doesnt seem very, well, Christian to me.
