Ive not often been more mad......the normal workers at breakfast that know how to read alerts (how hard cld it be) were having their pic taken and newbies were serving the kids. THey scanned Gavins tag and tho an still gave him breakfast pizza with egg! He didnt know it had egg, ate half of it and ended up having to have benadryl. (Thank God not his Epi) BUT THE WORST PART is that he was sent from his class knowing he had ingested an allergen to the nurses office ALONE.(not a short walk) Had he ingested nuts rather than eggs, he would have been found lying in the hall way somewhere!!! There is NO excuse for this! The cashiers should have been trained BEFORE they had to work, not AFTER they give a child something they arent supposed to have. No child should be alone after ingesting an allergen either! Not for ANY period of time! Thank GOD it was egg(his mild allergen) and not any type of nuts or I may be posting a very sad post right now thanks to their stupidity!!!!! The principal said she was sorry and she didnt know tht he was left alone and said it was totally the schools fault.(duh) However it would have it nice had she called me, rather than me having to call her because I was upset.
