Ive posted a bunch of pics below of my Dads 12yo cow who I witnessed my bull breed on Apr.3/14 which would mean her calculated due date would be roughly Jan. 10/15. She is very large and looks like there would be a calf inside except she has looked this way for 2yrs now. We have been bickering for weeks now about whether we think she is in calf or not. Have not noticed her come into heat since she was bred in Apr. I wish I could talk my Dad into getting the vet out to preg check her but he flat out refuses saying he doesnt want to spend the money(but I wont get into that argument). If she were my cow I would have had that done months ago rather than continue to feed a cow that might not be productive. I have not noticed any changes in her to suggest she is getting close to dropping a calf and would like to know what other peoples opinions are here whether you think she going to produce a calf soon or not. She is fat and her ribs seem to be more sprung out than our other cattle...She has had calves before but its been a while as my Dad was injured a while back and we did not have a bull at the time so did not bother breeding her.
