Ive reached the point in Gone Girl where the subtle misogyny is not so subtle anymore. I wish we lived in a society where this didnt really matter. I wish we lived in a society where woman didnt translate into women where rape accusations wouldnt be dictated through the well this one girl in high school told everyone she was raped and she never was!! lens of law enforcement, that when she IS raped she deserves to be met with scrutiny and suspicion, where a hashtag allowing women to stand in solidarity and support for each other wouldnt turn into #notallmen letting the world know that they deserve some recognition for never hitting their girlfriend or wife. I wish this could just be a crime novel, but the fact is, it confirms every woman hating lie out there.
