Ive received multiple comments asking why I dont use cllips when on the bench press, especially after the 350 lbs attempt. Here I figured I might as well answer that as well as go into explaining all the options to bench press safely given your resources. Ive had a couple experiences where the bar either hit my face or neck. Years and years of lifting thousands of reps give you a lot of opportunity to make a random error. Always play is safe when possible and spread the word to the commercial gym bros who are afraid to push themselves due to not knowing how to dump a heavy load off their chest.
