Ive seen enough evil and enough inhumanity to last several lifetimes. Debate is one thing. It opens us to possibility and compromise. Hatred serves only itself. Ive often quoted Carolyn Forché: Theres nothing one man wont do to another. I know that better than anyone. I dont respond well to rage. Its a PTSD trigger I intend to avoid. Racism, slander or hate remarks on this wall--of any kind--will end our relationship here.
