Ive seen it before. A few dozen of us would meet to hand out leaflets against the war in Vietnam on a good day, and a half dozen on a rainy or cold day. Then there were thousands and finally hundreds of thousands of us - and around the world there were millions on the streets of every major city. And, we did what few ordinary citizens ever did, we stopped a war. The massed demonstrations had as much to do with the US withdrawal as the Vietcong military successes. We are well past the situation 5/6 years ago when there were only a hundred or so members of this group and I spent most of my time reassuring people that we were right and that the issue of fracking would one day be in every major media outlet. Now it is talked abut everywhere and were growing at a phenomenal rate. We keep getting victories. Small ones in parish councils, large ones in states, great cities and even countries. We have charges against our brave people thrown out in court and we have frozen in cold camps and stayed with it. The government and the frackers know we are winning, as they prove with their increasingly desperate tactics. The only problem we have is to convince our impatient friends that we are not only winning, but that we cannot lose! Our opposition has nothing but lies. We have all the truth, all the evidence and we have the best people on our side. Soon, well have more, and all of us who have been learning all these facts and arguments, will be invaluable to the new recruits. All of us are the teachers of our movement, because we have learned so much on these pages and in our groups. Get used to winning, because we are going to be doing a lot more of it very soon.
