Ive seen so many status about my friends headed back to Liberty and I cant wait to join them in a couple of days and start my Sophomore year! However, I still have half a day left at Prince of Peace until my unforgettable summer comes to an end. This summer has been such an amazing experience, spending 2.5 months in Guatemala was something I never dreamed would be a possibility but thanks to everyone who supported me financially and spiritually, it happened!! I will never forget these last 2.5 months of my life, the people I met, the experiences I had, and the connections I built. I will always remember the girls at Prince of Peace because of their infectious attitudes and the love they showed me. I have learned so much about myself as a person, I have learned what it feels like to give and receive unconditional love from girls who have come from nothing but have so much to give regardless. I have experienced families who have absolutely nothing and it has made me more grateful for everything that I have in America!! And lastly, I am very grateful for all the patience that the girls showed me as I slowly started to learned more and more Spanish!! Its hard to put into words the effect that PoP had on me because its an experience that you have to be a part of to understand fully for yourself. I would specifically like to thank my parents, Shannon Gallagher and Chris Gallagher, for trusting me enough to send me to a foreign country for 2.5 months by myself, to have such an amazing experience.
