Pre FDNY merger NYC EMS Local 2507s Rap response to Flavor Flavs dis record 911 is a joke the boldly titled Bodies R Hauled Off prompted the group Public Enemy to apologize to EMS workers for the slight. It is the only issue which the controversial seminal Hip Hop group has ever reversed on. Created by Local 2507 members Darrell Hoover, David Welch, Jeff Stanzler and myself with cameos from members from all five boroughs. Bodies utilized strong imagery and witty lyrics to describe the difficulties of EMS work at a time in New York history where the murder rates were at their peak and crack was king. Dedicated in memory of members and associates that had been taken from the field too early, this video made its official debut at the first Local 2507 Dinner Dance.
