Ive totally slacked with my days of grateful challenge... but I assure you, Ive been living a grateful life :D Not even sure which day I should be on, but here we go... 1) Kirby Puckett - Yup, Kirby. Taught me a valuable lesson in heroes. He was a fun and great player, but he struggled with his character off the field. Realizing how important it is to show character and to be character. He was also a great example of to use you your time on earth, in this vessel because it can change in an instant. 2) Drives to Cooperstown. Baseball bits on the radio, jibberish about all time players, the diner food and of course the hall and sitting at Doubleday Field to catch whatever game is in front of you. Nostalgic, yes. Therapeutic, absolutely. 3) Derek Jeter - Youll see a lot of posts about him today. Maybe hes even elevated a little higher than his reality, but here are the undeniable things about him; He is his own person, plays to the best of his ability and respects the game. 2grateful. This one pulls together baseball for me. Plenty of lessons, playing, coaching, watching. Im not as close to it as I have been, but it doesnt mean Im not ready to pass on the tools it gave me. Here you go Nate Russ... clearly, I set this one up for you.
