Ivy Ho:We like to refer to Alice Munro as the Chekhov of our time but Munro herself named Eudora Welty (1909-2001) as her one true inspiration. Now is the time to dust off Eudora who, unfortunately, did not take a Nobel home. But Eudora went places that Munro can only dream of - US software engineer Steve Dorner developed one of the worlds first email programs in 1988 and named it Eudora, to honor the writer who inspired him with her short story Why I live at the P.O. Eudora email is now part of Mozilla. Well, to all those who have once witnessed the grace of Eudora the email client, lets drink to that. Its never too late. And to those beautiful souls who have brightened up our paths, a big big thank you to you all!
