I’m Lynn Woolley with your Logic Minute for 6/17/13 When the on-air light goes off at the CBS Evening News, may we suggest that anchor Scott Pelley stop talking? We’ve been telling you that CBS – like other major news outlets – has ignored breaking stories about administrations scandals. And so it seems that a big story – broken on “CBS This Morning” – was NOT run that night on Pelley’s broadcast – apparently because “there wasn’t time for it.” Even NBC News had time for it. The New York Post wrote about this and got a call from Pelley who was displeased and told the Post reporter – “you wouldn’t last ten seconds at CBS News.” In another instance, Pelley was denigrating cable news and claimed Fox News’ ratings are about ninety percent less than they really are. CBS should muzzle Pelley if he can’t control is mouth. Better yet, his bosses should tell him to cover the news – real, breaking news. If he refuses, he shouldn’t last ten seconds.
