I’m already fed up of hearing the self-satisfied, media loathing for the new Coldplay album. So it’s bad is it? Quelle surprise!.. Expecting anything more would be akin to voting Tory and wondering why the poor got f*cked over... I’ve got a serious problem with all this media Coldplay bashing especially from the supposedly hip and trendy, web-based tomes. Not because I like Coldplay, my loathing goes without saying and so should theirs rather than wasting column inches... It’s just too easy for journalists to slag off the likes of Coldplay and score ostensible cool points; just like it’s too easy to bash Mumford & Sons and suchlike. The mostly self-appointed arbiters of taste who write atop castles of shit themselves and who bash these bands whilst lauding so-called trendy or cool bands who in reality aren’t much better, well, they are the real enemy if you ask me!.. That said, I’ve just listened to the new Coldplay album ‘Ghost Stories and within the first minute I wanted to punch Chris Martin square in the face!.. And what’s more he would have deserved it. The album sounds like a Chris Morris Brass Eye/Nathan Barley piss take... That’s my review! Bonanza & Son Revue On ResonanceFM
