I’m going to be taking a brief hiatus from Facebook and other social media. No, I’m not “fed up” or “tired of the BS” (if I was, I would make a vague post about it and/or threaten to trim my friend’s list). Unfortunately, I had a rather gruesome accident at the gym today — I broke two fingers (amputating the tip of one of them) — and have been instructed to take it easy for a spell. On a related note, I tip my hat to all you women (like my wife, Liane McCorkle Simon) who have had spinals. I got three shots in my hand — one that accidentally went completely through (that was fun) — and I was pleading with the doctor like a man sentenced to watch “The View” for a week when he suggested a fourth. Anyway, I wanted to let all my Facebook friends know that I won’t be answering messages or commenting on posts for a while. In my absence, I fervently hope all of you will attempt to raise your games and match my level of posting brilliance so that Mark Zuckerbergs brainchild won’t go the way of MySpace. Your topics should include the Broncos, the Seahawks and squatches — not necessarily in that order.
