The Argentina international, 27, has been heavily linked with a move away from the Camp Nou side after falling out with club president Josep Bartomeu, while he also endures a difficult relationship with head coach Luis Enrique. Chelsea are allegedly one of the clubs closely monitoring Messi’s situation at Barcelona, but Fabregas has denied that he has been sounding out his former team-mate over a potential move. “His situation has been made out to be worse than it really is. Messi is happy at Barcelona and the club’s happy with him,” Fabregas told Onda Cero. “I get a bad feeling about it when people are saying that I am trying to convince Messi to join Chelsea.
