I’m really lucky. There are so many BIG SPECIAL THINGS and PHENOMINAL PEOPLE in my life that I’m thankful for; I easily look passed/handle the little stuff so many complain about. I had a good day today. I’m getting hollered at for doing “too much” by my husband because I’m supposed to be resting - but I don’t want to miss a single moment in my life that I’ll remember forever. They are the stories I’ll tell the (great) grand children from my rocking chair on the porch. How can I pass that up? Even something mundane; the smell of popcorn coming from the kitchen is something I am happy to have. I try to take nothing for granted. Maybe I’m too grateful … but is there such a thing? Every day I hear about someone else that’s suffering loss or tragedy. Every day I hear more bad in the news. Some of my rants are pointless reminders to hug someone you love, be kind to strangers, practice random acts of kindness or don’t judge anyone else’s life. Tonight thi s one is simple – it’s about living in the moment. This second that I’m writing this, contemplating my place in the universe. And at this very moment (and every moment) – I am blessed.
