I’m sitting here thinking about when I was speaking in the Prison the other day, I got to sit back and chill with several hard timers in their environment who love the Lord now. They were telling me how the gangs were rampant, and they( Christian inmates) are starting a class to help those who want out. I didn’t mentioned several other ex-bangers came up after the service, and gave their respect for getting out, as I did to them for getting out and turning to the Lord Jesus, that is an ex-gang thang! Most of them had done 15 plus years. I found out since there is so many phones are smuggled in prison now, they are taking pictures of stabbing inmates in the feet and then sending the pics to the family and demanding money, or it won’t be their feet next time! What has changed, we could get info to outside gang members back in the day, but it was more difficult, but now they can call and text from in the prisons and hit whoever they want in or outside the walls, scary where things are at, and headed! I told the men they were much stronger than I to walk with the Lord in prison, I could not fathom at the time I was in prison trusting Jesus instead of a shank! Just very thankful this morning for Jesus. I thought about trying Jesus when I first got locked up, but my dad said son everyone does that in Jail, so it really pissed me off because I was thinking about trying good. Then I said in my heart I will show you, and committed to being the worse inmate I could be, I would laugh and tell him how we did this, and that, just to antagonize him, until he quit visiting because of such. Wow, I finally got hip to that ride of what judgments and vows toward him did to me, and were doing to me! See that is why I am passionate about giving my life for the hurting especially these young men, “HE SAVED ME”! Again feeling grateful, very grateful for Jesus this morning!!
