I’m still at work, but I wanted to thank you for your prayers - TopicsExpress

I’m still at work, but I wanted to thank you for your prayers and those that personally reached out to me today…that meant A LOT (the ministry of presence is vital). Her surgery (double amputation above her knees) was originally scheduled for this morning, but she ran a fever, her heart rate elevated and her blood pressure dropped; therefore, she is being monitored by the cardiologist and a determination will be made how and when to proceed. Now she is resting and we praise God that her fever broke! Please continue to pray so that her heart rate decreases to a level that is acceptable and that her blood pressure is stable. Please continue to pray for the wisdom of her medical team. In the midst of it all, I give God the glory for providing strength on top of faith. It’s a difficult and frustrating place when you see your parents suffer even while trusting God. My faith hasn’t wavered; I just desire to see my Mommy’s quality of life improve. My head was swimming and I was just so heartbroken, but as I reflected on the Bible study I taught last night to the Young Daughter’s of the King (YDK) Step Team (young ladies from grades 6th-12th grade) about joy I’m reminded that the joy of the Lord IS my strength. I’m not being churchy (and not even feeling preachy), I just know that it is days like this that my relationship with God is keeping me. So it is with this that I continue to mediate on Psalm 31:24 that reads “Be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord”. My hope is in Him…
