I’ve been somewhat bothered by the recent bombardment of flavored whisky ads on TV, and had cynically surmised that young drinkers, but particularly women, were their target audience. First it was the onslaught of the many, many, many flavored vodkas. (Bubblegum vodka? Yuck!) The bar we go to had to redo their shelving just to accommodate them, though I don’t think they have the bubblegum flavor, for which I am grateful. I guess it’s to be expected that whisky would follow the trend in hopes of pulling in the same kind of massive revenues. I’ll stick to my Jameson on the rocks, thank you.
