I’ve been struggling with a decision over the past few months and have finally reached an answer. As many of you know, about a year ago I started a new business venture that focuses on empowering and inspiring young girls to realize that they are ‘beautiful just as they are’. The goal of this business, which is called iBbeautiful, is to help girls find themselves, feel good about themselves, and to realize that they can do anything they put their mind to. We do this by sending out a box each month that is filled with cool stuff, but more importantly a powerful monthly message that focuses on helping young girls get to know themselves and to feel more confident in who they are. Our tag line is……b unique b happy b you. Based on the growth of this business and the affirming emails I’m receiving from the moms that subscribe to our service for their daughters, the mission of iBbeautiful is being fulfilled. More importantly, I have found this new venture incredibly fulfilling on a personal level and have fallen in love with the message and the impact that we are making as a company. It is due to this that I have decided to devote myself full time to iBbeautiful. So, this will be Marmalade’s last Christmas season. It has been 13 years of being a cornerstone in the Chappaqua community and I am very proud of that. I want to send out a huge and heartfelt thank you to all of you that have supported us over the years. As I said I have been flip flopping on this decision for a few months now, but very positive things keep happening, (like yesterday’s NY Times mention of iBbeautiful) that feel like signs that are pointing me in this new direction. So, a huge shout out to all of you that have become my friends over the years, thanks for always lending your ear, and for always supporting Marmalade and myself. I wish you all a fabulous Holiday season and a great start to the New Year! The nitty gritty details are this: We will officially have all merchandise in the store, starting today at 30% off. We plan to stay open until the end of January while I search for a new tenant for the store. Any and all gift certificates, store credits, and exchanges will be honored throughout the month of January, so no worries there. If any of you have a great tenant in mind, please pass them along to me. Since I own the building it will be me that will be renting out my space. So, as they say ‘onwards and upwards’, here’s hoping we all have a fantastic New Year and all our dreams come to fruition. Love you guys!
