I’ve been told I write from the heart, it’s heartfelt, what if I’m cold hearted? Maybe I’m warm blooded, hope I can reach to the broken hearted, Wish life was perfect but all of these emotions stirring is the fuel I use to make happy permanent, If you’re not working towards it you’re not earning it, Managing in a cold world overpopulated with the heartless, that’s the hardest part, The reason my heart beats on to these sheets isn’t to be an artist, My literature isn’t the sharpest, My observations aren’t the smartest, But I’m going through and seeing heartache, Those big life mistakes that raise your heart rate, That news that’s just so hard to take, The I can’t believe this, throw your arms in the air and shake them to the sky saying can’t I catch a break. Life can be foul, it can be nasty, people can be petty and shameless, Life can be just plain mean.
