I’ve had 3 young grandchildren the past few days. On Friday we were Turkey hunting late.. The boys worked well as a team. Around 5pm we saw our turkeys. 3 of them. They flew.. over the barn yarn into the pasture. We ran after them, tracked them down into the woods. Found them again.. but Stuart wasn’t sure whether it was a genie hen or a turkey.! He didn’t’ shoot. .. the second time his brother thought the turkey was another genie hen, But it wasn’t.. but that’s ok. Better to identify your game correctly then shoot the farmers genie hen.. ! This morning we went Deer hunting. Two of the boys are under 16, Miqueias is 12 and Stuart is 13, the older grandchild is 16 Augie. They had a good time.. Learning to deer hunt. The hard part is getting them to sit.. still.. wait.! This afternoon we looked for ducks. Found them but couldn’t get close enough to get a shot off before them flew no cover to hide in..! But we will try again.! All and all they had a great time.. and so did Grandma Meme..
