J is 4 years old and for the first time….he can CLAP WITH BOTH HANDS!!!! His right side is more affected than his left so he often “forgets” about it. He has been making progress with using his right arm and this is the proof that he is actually becoming more aware of his other arm. He has clapped for a long time….but it was a “modified clap” in that when asked to clap or clapping when others were, he would take his left hand and slap his left leg repeatedly. He finally has a real HANDS TOGETHER clap! Don’t care how long it takes, we work & fight for progress, progress, progress!
