REGISTRATION: • Registration Fee: $125 • For Minnesota golfers who hold SEASON PASS at Como and Phalen Golf Courses, your registration fee for the tournament is $75. Your season pass card ID number is needed to receive the waiver. • Seng Vang will be at Como Golf Course on Thursday, July 3rd and Tong Pao Yang will be there on Friday, July 4th from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm to preregister. If are unable to register on either day, you must be present at 8:00 am at the golf course to check in and make payment. Registration fee is accepted in the form of CASH ONLY. • Players who fail to keep his/her scheduled tee time will be disqualified from the tournament. • THE MAXIMAL NUMBER OF GOLFERS IS 180. Once registration reached the maximal number a waiting list will be created. A first-come first-served basis will be used for those on the waiting list. SCORE SYSTEM: Stroke Play (winning score is the combined total scores from the two days of play). RANGE FINDER: Players are allowed to use range finder. Due to the large turnout, pace of place will be reinforced. FLIGHTS & PAIRINGS: Our goal is to keep the size of the two flights as equal as mathematically possible. • THE TOURNAMENT WILL HAVE TWO FLIGHTS. At the conclusion of Day One, based on the reported scores for the total playing field, the top half of the scorers will be placed into the CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT and the bottom half of the scorers will be placed in the A FLIGHT. Based on known or recorded history of a player’s skill level from previous tournaments, the hosting committee reserves the rights to “bump”/place a player into the Championship Flight, regardless of that player’s score on the first day. • Day Two pairings will be done within the respective flight and players will then compete for the prizes in their respective flight. CARTS: Players have the option to use carts during the tournament. The fee for the carts rental is above and beyond the $125 registration fee. As not all golfers will opt to use carts, golf etiquettes must be observed for fairness and courtesy to all golfers. PACE OF PLAY: Individual(s) or group(s) that had been alerted on slow plays will have two verbal warnings with “time clock” monitoring. A third warning will equal a penalty, stroke and a fourth warning will be a disqualification from the tournament. • PAR 3’S—All par 3s will be a “marked and hit” to maintain playing pace. • Holes #2, 4, 11 and 14—due to the short distance of these holes, there will be a marker (flag) in the middle of the fairway. FOR SAFETY PURPOSE, do not tee off until the flag is put up by the group leaving the putting green, unless player ONLY intends to “lay up”. J4 NATIONAL GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP GOVERNING BODY POLICIES Participants to this national and prestigious tournament will be coming from all over the nation.
