JACK UPDATE -- IT IS NOT CANCER!!! -- Ive been holding Jack ever since we got home, about 5:30 or so. Apparently the office was really busy today and they didnt call to tell me to go get him -- I called at a bit after 4 oclock. NO CANCER!!!! I was so worried about that. Dr. Chapman said he was too, but what is there is an enlarged spleen and an enlarged prostate. The enlarged spleen is benign; they can tell by its appearance. The prostate -- probably enlarged due to testosterone, recommended neutering. I asked why the spleen would become enlarged and he said age most likely. Thy did x-ray Jacks chest again because he was still coughing and dripping and the x-ray showed the pneumonia is all gone. So, Dr. Chapman said the drip was sinusitis and to give Jack 25 mg 2x/day and if not enough, increase to 50 mg 2x/day. For vomiting, we have I think Remadyl (?) to give him 10 minutes prior to meals. Hes down to 59 lbs. He was so happy to be home he almost pranced!! He wanted my hand on his head for hours.
