JAMES HENRY EYES TOP 6 SPOT IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP James Henry today targeted returning Wolves to the top six of the Championship after sealing his move to Molineux. The 24-year-old right winger has joined Wolves on loan from Millwall until January 1 with a view to a £250,000 permanent move. After three seasons in the Championship before dropping a division to rejoin his old Millwall boss Kenny Jackett, Henry is already looking beyond promotion from League One. “I’m looking forward to trying to play a part in keeping Wolves up there and with a chance to get back into the Championship,” said Reading-born Henry. “Everyone is looking upwards and looking to get back up and then being a top-six team in that division. “It will be good to play a part in that and being involved with a great young squad full of hungry players.” Henry, who is just three games short of 200 senior appearances – 164 have been for Millwall – is targeting a regular place after losing his place in the last month under Jackett’s successor Steve Lomas. “I’m really looking forward to playing week-in, week-out,” he said. Henry admitted it was a big decision to drop a division but said the size of Wolves and the chance to prosper under Jackett and assistant head coach Joe Gallen again swung it. “Kenny was a big part of me coming here but it’s also the stature of the club, which is massive,” he said. “Kenny seemed to get the best out of me and I’m really looking forward to working with him and Joe Gallen. “It was a big decision but this is such a big club it was an opportunity I couldn’t turn down.” And he vowed to become a vital source of assists and goals. “The main part of my game is to get good crosses into the box and create chances, and also chipping in with a few goals,” he said. “I’ve scored a few free kicks and shots from distance – I don’t tend to score too many inside the box and it would be nice to contribute more.” Henry is ready to make his debut at Colchester on Saturday. “I’d love to be involved at Colchester and am available,” he said. Henry made his full debut for Reading alongside Kevin Doyle and came through the Royals ranks with Scott Golbourne. “I know a few of the lads and that should help me,” he added.
