JAMHURI DAY AND ACCEPTANCE SPEECH To founder members and SRYEO executive team,county coordinators, sub-county coordinators, ward delegates and all honourable south Rift Youths and all protocol observed It is a great moment for us as the newly interim leaders to assume office and take over the mantle of youth empowerment leadershi .Today as we celebrate Jamhuri day may i say i am sensitive to the thousands of youth who look upon us the opportunity to serve through their warm-hearted actions and will of membership and cooperation as we unite and empower each other.Thank you, I am humbled I want to assure you that my new leadership position will be all all inclusive,honest, and sensitive to the needs of youth as far as empowerment is concern. My office will lead in representing the aspirations, views, needs as well as addressing the grievances of youth at each and every opportunity. I promise to be steadfast, bold and independent in my judgement on any meeting where my input is required as per the SRYEO constitutions. I will represent and articulate the interests of the youth in all my undertakings without fear or favor while zealously protecting the south rift youth brand. I will ensure that with the able leadership of my team, we will change the face of South Rift to be largely empowerment driven. It is at this point In view of the concerns expressed in the preamble and the need to deal with them effectively, the organization shall strive to achieve the following objectives: 1, To contribute to the improvement of youths both economically and socially 2 .To organize, within the scope of the south rift region any empowerment programs design/aim to improving the general welfare of the youths 3.To educate people and members of the organization on how to prepare for and respond to life challenges which tend to affect them, howsoever caused. 4.To promote the participation of children and youth in the work of the National and county government of Kenya as far as the same is beneficial to the youths and children and not political in anyway. 5.To promote the Fundamental Principles of the organization and those of the national and county youth council in order to develop inclusive ideals amongst the group members, and in particular among the children and youth. 6.To co-operate with the Public Authorities and to ensure respect for National and county authorities by engaging and involving with them in all their activities if need be. 7.To provide such other community and humanitarian services and activities as may be determined from time to time. 8.To promote mutual assistance and co-operation with public authorities at all levels,and co-operate with other partners within and outside the organization. 9. To recruit, train and assign such personnel, staff and volunteers as are necessary for the discharge of the organization responsibilities as part of our long term agenda 10.To offer voluntary program in conjunction with the national , county government and any other public/private authority or entity where needed to do so. Team Youth On The Move, moving forward, I would like to offer my solemn and heartfelt gratitude once again for your unwavering support and request you that we remain united as one and work together towards a better South Rift Youth .To my fellow youth leaders i first wish to congratulate you for your appointment and spirit of leadership in you to our youth. You are leaders of today , I urge we deliver on our agendas with other willing stakeholders to the youths because they have expressed immense faith inus.I kindly urge you not fail them for I believe that ours is a dream that will be fulfilled to the detriments of none and to the enduring benefit and honor of this great region. Finally, let us thank God, the giver of life and leadership. If it is not for Him, we could not be here. Let us put God first in everything we do and we will succeed.
