JAMMEH STRIKE RIGHT AT THE HEART OF BALAFONG!!! As the saying goes, Drive safely, the life you save may be your own. Few months ago Momodou Sabally a young academically educated and street illiterate never envisaged that he would have been in this predicament today, being detained unlawfully without formal charges. Mr Sabally was a typical Balafong member. The Balafong is a group of that is run by supposedly educated young Gambians that will discussed everything, politics form around the world BUT Gambia. Chief amongst this group admin is a chap called Sana Sarr, a brother - in law to Momodou Sabally. Today, Jai Sarr the sister to Sana Sarr and their kids are being denied their basic human rights after her husband and father Mr Sabally is unceremoniously banged up by the tyranny system in Gambia. Well few days ago another admin member of this same Balafong group by the name of Amran Gaye wrote a very lengthy essay blaming Strugglers in the diaspora for the entrenchment of the Gambian government, and stop short of even naming the Gambian regime. Amran Gaye, here is another reason for entrenchment for you, as one of yours (Sabally) is dancing to the music he helped produced. I have nothing against the Balafong group, but if anything this must be a reason for you to start allowing Gambian political debate on your group for Gambian youths to have their say rather than denying members from debating politics. If you do not allow people to talk about politics on your page, you are tantamount to the Jammeh antics of gross censorship, because our country is at crossroads. On a personal note, I think this is a very sad indictment to Mr Sabally, after been used, abused and now dumped as his predecessors. I do believe most of us Gambians educated or not, have problem of myopism and starstruck syndrome, that makes us vulnerable. In the case of Sabally, Jammeh deliberately turned him to a hate-figure from every sphere,ranging from the diaspora when he physically came out to want to take on demonstrators, and using him to castigates his kinsmen, the Mandinkas. I am personally appealing to all and sundry to forgive Momodou Sabally,and pray for his speedy reunion to his family, and let us remember that no matter what, he is one of us and JAMMEH is our problem.
