JAMMU: Prominent citizens join BJP A Number of prominent citizens on Sunday joined the BJP in the presence of State BJP President Jugal Kishore Sharma(MP), Vice President Col. Uttam Singh, General Secretaries Ashok Kaul, Kavinder Gupta, Bali Bhagat and Rajiv Jasrotia and other senior party leaders including Professor Hari Om, Munish Sharma(Secretary), Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, Sat Sharma(CA), Yudhvir Sethi and Ravinder Raina(President BJYM) and Sanjay Baru. Prominent among those who join the party included former MLA Prem Lal, Former HOD, Gyno & State Gujjar Advisory Board member, Rashpal Singh, Former Director Geological Survey of India, Er. Amit Gupta, Naveed (Adv J&K High Court), Arun Gupta(Businessman). Other who joined the party included Shokat Choudhary, Jamat Ali, Shakeel Choudhary, Sham Lal Pant, Maqbool Khatana, Gulab Singh, Avtar Singh Panch and Vijay Singh. Admitting them to the party fold, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that their joining will help the party to achieve its mission 44+ and form the next government in the state on its own. “The victory of the BJP at the national level and formation of Narendra Modi government has enthused the people of the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, to the extent that many prominent persons with mass base and administrative experience have been joining the BJP, believing that BJP is the only party that can lead the country aright and improve their social, economic, cultural and political life. The BJP has become so popular because of its ideology and inclusive approach that even members of the minority community are seeing in the BJP their savior,” said Jugal Kishore Sharma and added that the BJP has no doubt whatever that the BJP will be in the driver’s seat after the assembly election in the state. Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kaul, General Secretary Organization, congratulated those who joined the party in a solemn function at the party headquarters and expressed the hope that their entry in the party go a long way in popularizing the BJP’s ideology, policies and programme. He said they took a right decision to join the BJP, as this is the only party which treats all sections of the society and the states equally and believes in the principle of justice and equality, national unity and development of all.
