And, former Kingston trio member John Stewart died on this day in 2008. In the UK, McCartney was said to be worth £725 million British pounds, (roughly $1,233 million U.S dollars at that time). McCartney was expected to become an official billionaire after huge sales from the Beatles compilation hits album. (It was the biggest selling CD of the decade, reaching No.1 in 35 countries).
