Just sharing a moment of thanks and remembrance. Discovered a few days ago that an artist I have so profoundly admired recently passed away. Akira Blount was one of those artists with the gift to pull something beautiful out of her soul and create a likeness of that beauty for all of us to see. I discovered her art online more than a decade ago and ordered her DVD. Later, i went to a gallery and saw her beautiful works in person. I never met her, and yet I consider her a wonderful inspiration and teacher. I am heart broken that she is no longer with us, creating her beautiful characters. I will remember her though, every time I paint. God speed, Akira Blount.
