JESUS AS SON OF GOD’ As used in every portions of the Bible, - TopicsExpress

JESUS AS SON OF GOD’ As used in every portions of the Bible, it is a traditional language of the Jews since before the coming of Jesus Christ [peace be upon him], In the old testament to address the choosing or righteous man God. Is Jesus son of God? The Christians says yes; quoting, when Jesus was baptized by John: And a voice from heaven, saying, this is my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased (Mathew 3:17). . Now, the big question is: Whos voice was that,? The Christians says is Gods voice. Let us see passages in the Bible rejecting this evidence. That is in accordance with what Jesus said: (Mathew 10:24) The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. Jesus said: You have never heard his voce at anytime nor seen his shape, (John 5:37). But Alas! The Christians give more weight to what the hearsay of the disciples, apostles, and other witnesses than Jesus himself. At the result of that he Jesus said: Many people will believe and worship me in vain, believing in doctrines teachings of men not by God (Matt. 15:9). MEANING OF THE TERM SON OF GOD According to the Bible, “Anyone that love God and did the acts of righteousness is born by God’’ (1 John 2:29). You should not accept the word son literally, because many prophets and we people are called in the Bible also, sons and children of God. e.g. Exodus 4:22: . ‘’And thou (Moses) shall say unto Pharaoh, thus saith the lord, Israel is my son, even my first born,’’ Here is Jacob (Israel) His firstborn son. Read 2 Samuel 7:13-14 and 1Chro. ronicle 22:10. ‘’HE (Salomon) shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever. I will be his father and he shall be my son.’’ . It will be confusing if you read Jeremiah 31:9: ‘’I am a father to Isreal and Ephraim is my firstborn’’. In Exodus 4:22 just now, Israel was called firstborn, too. Who is now the real firstborn? Isreal or Ephraim. . Common people can be children of God: Read Deuteronomy 14:1. “You are the children of the Lord your God.” Common People also can be called first born of God, (Romans 8:29): “For whom he did foreknow, he also predestinate to be confirmed to the image of his son, that he might be the first born of many brethren.” Jesus Christ says: “But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that course you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despise you and persecute you; that ye may be the child of your father which is in heaven” (Mathew 5:44-45). . “Blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called the children of God” If says (Christians) Jesus is the only be gotten son of God; long before Jesus was born God said to David, (psalm 2: 7): “I will declare the decree; the Lord hath said unto me (David) thou are my son; this day have I begotten you.” So, begotten son according to the bible not only Jesus David also was begotten son. Why is the word “begotten” in John 3:16, was taken out of most modern Bibles such as the Revised Standard Version, New English Bible, New International version, the Living Bible etc? Begetting a son is a physical act, is against God’s nature. Romans 8:14: “…This is we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Any one who are not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother” (1John 3:9-10). . The above logical explanations of Sons of God shows that, the word is not a literal expression but is metaphorical. It can be apply to anyone who is beloved by God. Jesus also said: that God is not only his father but also your father (Matt. 5:45-48) “that ye may be the children of your Father /and/Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is Perfect.” So you will see in many passage in the Bible, “son of God” which signifies love and affection, nearness to God (2 Corin. 6: 18): “And I will be a father unto you, and ye, shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” In views of these and other passages in the Bible, there is no reason whatsoever why Jesus should be regarded as son of God in a literal or unique sense. And if you think that Jesus has no father but only a mother that‘s why he is son of God, why do you consider Adam then not as son of God, he lacked both father and mother, and is also called son of God in Luke 3:38: “…Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God”. Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning nor days, nor end of Life, but made like unto the son of God; abideth a priest continually” Who is he? The answer is in Hebrews 7:1 “Melchisedec King of Salem (peace), priest of the most high God, who met Abraham... “He is more unique than Jesus or Adam. Why he is not preferred to be son of God or God himself? Moreover, Jesus called himself son of man and refused to be called son of God: . Aand devils also came out of many, crying out, saying thou art Christ the son of God. And he (Jesus) rebuking them suffered them not to speak for they knew that he was Christ” (Luke 4:41). It is clear here that he refused to be called son of God. He refused again in Luke 9:20 and 21 and charged them too. “He (Jesus) said unto them his (disciples), but whom say ye that I am? Peter answering and said: “Christ of God, and he straightly charged them and commanded them to tell no man that thing’’ Jesus Christ, who was the expected messiah and a Prophet. Was escalated from teacher to son of God, Lord and finally to God himself. Read John 3:2: “The same came the by night and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou are a teacher came from God…” (John 6:14) “Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, they said: “this is of a truth, the prophet that should come into the world.” Jesus is also called prophet in John 7:40, Mathew 21:11, Luke 7:16 and 24:19, Acts 9:20, Luke 13:32-33. SIMPLE QUESTIONS: Q.1 If Mary was the mother of Jesus and God was the father according to the Christians, what then is the relationship between Mary and God? Q.2 If God is the father of Jesus and Jesus is the son of God, could a father be of the same age with his own son? Q.3 When did “the son” came into existence? Was he “begotten” not “Created” as the church teaches? If so when? Or was he created as other verses in the Bible indicated? Q.4 The mother of Jesus can easily be known, but where is the mother of Adam? Where is the mother of Eve? In comparing the creation of Adam to Jesus, Allah mentioned in His glorious Qur’an (Last testament) that: “Indeed, the likeness of Jesus in the sight of God is like that of Adam. For he created him from clay (Mud) and then said be and he was” (Q 3:59). Both scriptures support the fact that Adam does not have parent. Genesis 2:7. I quote: “Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life: And man became a living being” It is with the divine command “BE” that both Jesus and Adam were created by ALLAH. Consider the following statement in the Bible: “And God said, let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kind and every things that creeps upon the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:24). It is understood that the coming out of these living beings from the earth Was as the result of the divine command “BE.” Take a look at the sky without visible pillar. God is able to create something out of nothing. God is able to create a man even from a stone” (Mathew 3:9). If Allah (God) wishes to create millions of Jesuses by the same command “BE” of course He will, even the Bible says : “with God all things are possible” (Mathew 19:26. Let us consider the following theological equations: .(a). Spirit of God + clay (Mud) = A man (Adam) .(b) Spirit of God + flesh (Mary) = A man (Jesus) What then the need of saying Jesus is Son of God? thank you May ALLAH in his infinite mercy bless and guide you.
