JESUS GAVE HIMSELF FOR US-Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5) Dearly beloved, The Lord Jesus loves us with an everlasting love. The Lord is looking at all the people of the earth in order to reveal His power and anointing. He gave Himself up on the Cross for our iniquities! He bore wounds all over His body! He has promised us that He is going to give us His anointing (His power) to us. Once in a television programme, when a person was interviewing the public, he asked a passerby whether he knew who the Lord Jesus was. The man answered, “Oh, I know Him well; I’ve seen Him hanging on a cross in certain drawings and statues. He is Jesus.” Since he was ignorant of God’s glory, he gave such an answer. Today, most of you might have committed yourselves to the Lord Jesus saying, “The Lord Jesus gave Himself up on the Cross for my transgressions and iniquities and for me to live well.” You may have the desire to live a holy life, be useful to others and receive the Lord’s power still more. According to your desire, the Lord is going to give you the fullness of His anointing today. The Lord Jesus is not an ordinary man. He says in Matthew 28:18, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” In Acts 7:49, the Lord Himself says, Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool.” What a privilege that we have such a mighty Lord as our God! He is going to give each one of you His mighty anointing. He has all power and authority of heaven and earth in His nail-pierced hands. The Bible says, “The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him” (2 Chronicles 16:9). His eyes are upon you. He will certainly give you divine blessings when you ask Him. But as said in Hebrews 6:6, He is waiting to show His strength to everyone who desires to receive. The Bible says, “He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). The Lord Jesus suffered on the Cross and took the punishment on the behalf of mankind in order to make them righteous and grant them peace through His forgiveness. He was wounded in order to heal the sick and the brokenhearted. When we commit our lives to Him, He shall grant us all the blessings He has secured for us on the Cross. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, Thank You that You gave Yourself up on the Cross for our sake. You bore wounds all over Your body. I commit my life to You. Make me righteous through Your precious blood and grant me divine peace. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and empower me to lead a holy life. Grant me all the blessings You have secured for me on the Cross. In Your matchless name I pray, Amen.
