JESUS IS THE VINE: We are the branches...connected to the Vine. Many feel the fruit is just winning souls to Christ. But, we learned that fruit is what we are supposed to develop as a result of being connected to the Vine. Its not evangelism....it is more. By our actions of love....others will be attracted. Good thoughts, attitudes and as a result of thinking....actions will occur. Every branch...that does not bear fruit...he takes away....takes away? What does that mean? Actually, vinedressers know....it means take up...or lift up. Remember the disciples took up twelve baskets after the feeding of the 5000. Those who work in vineyards take up the trailing branches and wash them off from mud....and lift them to get air circulation....and fasten them to the supporting line. Branches in the mud cannot produce fruit....it becomes sick. They are washed and attached to the trellis and soon become thriving branches. Think about this....we can help others produce, if we LIFT OTHERS UP....like mothers wash off a hurt, we can cleanse a bruised heart. Then we can stay attached together in fellowship on the trellis.......and produce the fruit of the Spirit for our Lord.
