JESUS TELLS US WHEN THE GREAT TRIBULATION OF ISRAEL WILL BEGIN........ because He is the One who begins it and ends it. In the following Scripture, which records His Mount of Olives Prophesy, Jesus tells us when the great tribulation of Israel begins after the abomination is set up: Matthew 24:20-21 "And pray that your flight may NOT BE IN WINTER or ON THE SABBATH. For then there will be great tribulation...." In this Scripture Jesus tells us that the flight of people from the great tribulation of Israel is on or soon after the Vernal or Spring Equinox which is always on March 20th each year. The first month of the Hebrew Sacred Year, which is Nisan, begins very near the date of the Vernal or Spring Equinox every year. March 20th is always the first day of Spring - not in winter.
